Who is this course for?

This six-week course is designed for three groups of people.

  1. Consultants, coaches and freelancers building your own website. Just because you’re starting out, you don’t have to go it alone. This is the course I wish I’d had when I started building my site.

  2. Freelancers and consultants on a tight budget building your website with a web developer. No matter how good your developer is, the effectiveness of the website they build for you is directly related to the quality of your brief and the content you give them. This course will help you put together a clear brief for your developer and write your website content before they start to design. This results in a smoother, faster, cheaper build AND a site that attracts attention from the right people.

  3. Freelancers and consultants who want to improve your website. If your site’s not delivering a regular stream of leads from the right people, it’s not working. The good news is that underperforming websites are often quick and easy to fix, and don’t need a full redesign. I’ll show you how to rework your site to attract client enquiries and take you step-by-step through writing more effective copy for each key page.

This course isn’t for you if:

  • You want your website planned and written for you. Check out my website copywriting services if you’d like me to write your website copy for you. My copy packages start at $3,900 + GST.

  • You’re after magical marketing growth hacks. I’m real sorry to say, but they don’t exist. I can teach you the power of focus and repetition, but there’s no such thing as overnight success, and there’s no way round hard work.

  • You aren’t prepared to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in. You’re going to be working hard, so get your comfy pants on and break out your writing cardigan.

We’ll be taking a good look at your ideal clients, the problems you solve, the goals you help them achieve, and why you’re the answer to their prayers.

  • You’ll learn how to structure your site so you’re giving potential clients all the info they need to choose you.

  • You’ll write kick arse copy for your website. From storytelling to sales, I’ll walk you step-by-step through writing compelling copy for each key page

  • And you’ll set a content marketing strategy that’s going to attract, seduce and convert those ideal clients into enquiries in your inbox.

This is a six-week virtual course that combines 90 minutes of live coaching a week over Zoom with homework assignments where you get your head down and go hard to put your learnings into action.

You’ll be working with a small group of people, all on the same misson to make their website work harder for their business. Places are limited to 12 people only.

Who the heck am I?

I’m Lizzie, a writer, content marketing specialist, and marketing coach.

I help NZ consultants, coaches, and freelancers like you kick cold calling to the kerb with website copy and content marketing that attracts enquiries from your ideal clients.

Your professional expertise is your superpower. But as a small business owner you also have to be your own HR specialist, accounts and admin wrangler, marketing department, and sales team. Is it any freaking wonder that when it comes to your website, you sometimes feel a bit overwhelmed?

In this course I’ll help you focus on what’s important to grow your business. No fluff, no fuss, just valuable advice delivered in plain English with examples.

I learned how to make websites sell by writing copy for many websites, managing builds for many more, and 20 years doing marketing and business development for creative agencies. In March 2020 I started my own successful copywriting consultancy. Today I’ve a two-month waiting list for my copywriting services and the only business development I do is content marketing. This stuff works.

  • Website copy templates for your Homepage, About page, Services landing page, and individual Services pages. These are the templates I use myself for my website and for my clients.

  • A free 40-minute one-on-one consultancy call, where I’ll review the work you’ve done and give you advice to get you cranking with your website.

  • And you get invited to a private Facebook group, where you can share questions, learnings and your work in progress with the other consultants and freelancers in the group.
